Nestled in the heart of Khumjung, Nepal, Everest Bakery Cafe serves as a delightful sanctuary for travelers and locals alike. Known for its warm ambiance and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, this cozy cafeteria promises not just a meal, but an experience that nourishes both the body and soul.

From the moment you step through the door, you're enveloped in a welcoming atmosphere, where the aromas of freshly brewed coffee and homemade pastries fill the air. This relatively new establishment, with its opening in 2025, offers a pause from the rugged outdoors, inviting you to unwind with a cup of their exceptional cappuccino or indulge in one of their delightful cakes, crafted with care and creativity. Inspired by the stunning landscapes of the Himalayas, the flavors here evoke a sense of place that is truly unique.

Customers rave about the friendly service and the generous spirit of the owners, who go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. As noted by Isabel Torres, “the owners are kind and generous,” making every guest feel like family. The café's interior is harmoniously complemented by the soothing strains of jazz music, creating an atmosphere where it’s easy to lose track of time—just as Joshua Tabor experienced during his visit.

With views that showcase the majestic Ama Dablam mountain, guests can sip their drinks while immersing themselves in one of the most beautiful settings on earth. The café not only makes a perfect pit stop for trekkers passing through but also acts as a gathering spot for locals. Timothy Wagner rightly emphasizes, “this is the place to stop in Pangboche,” a sentiment echoed by many who have enjoyed the community feel and tranquil environment.

Whether you're in search of a hearty breakfast before setting off on an adventure or looking for the perfect place to recover after a long trek, Everest Bakery Cafe excels in bringing people together over great food and coffee. Make sure to try their freshly baked goods—each bite is a hug for your taste buds, and the delightful popcorn is a must-try, as highlighted by Ray Sleiman.

Everest Bakery Cafe isn’t just a place to grab a bite; it’s a sanctuary for the soul, a hub for community, and a celebration of all that is delightful in life. Whether you're a weary trekker or a curious traveler, make your way to this beloved gem in Pangboche and discover the warmth and flavor awaiting you.

In an area where wifi and power are often charged for and good coffee is hard to come by, Everest bakery in Pangboche bucks these trends. The place to stop in Pangboche on your way through!

My wife and I stopped at the Everest Bakery Cafe on our way down Valley after 20 days of Tramping. First, the cafe is relatively new with our understanding being that 2025 is the first season they have been operating. The cafe is clean and tidy. The jazz music in the background was a lovely touch. The atmosphere was such that you could easily spend all afternoon hanging out and note think twice. The food was terrific. We each had masala tea and a mini apple pie. The mini apple pie was seriously impressive. It is often hard to keep baking moist at 3000+ meters, but somehow the pie was lovely and moist and a made a perfect accompaniment to our tea. I highly recommend for anyone looking for tea stop heading down or up valley.

Very nice and warm bakery with good coffee and bakery items, the cuppachino is one of the best I have had in the Khumbu Region. Highly recommend, and great popcorn as well.

Home baked cakes and pastries and they’re so delicious!! They also provide free WiFi and charging for customers which is amazing compared to many places charging 1,000 for WiFi.

This is one of the nicest cafés we've seen during our 14 day trek to Everest Base camp. Definitely stop here for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. The food is very good. There is also free charging and wifi. Nice atmosphere with relaxed music.

We were in Everest Coffee in Oct. 24 with a friend from FR going to base camp. We spent an amazing moment in the Coffee and also having a cultural conversation with Tsiring and his wife, the very sympathic owners. The view is also amazing, place truely recomanded
